A good start

OK, so I'm still working out how to navigate around this bloody blogspot... I'm not the most technical person in the world and hopefully, I'll be better at managing a bit of land. But here I am, up and running and hopefully you've had a look at the pics on facebook and like what you see.
Pat and I bought this place a month ago. We are now officially broke but happy. Everyone is worried for us as we are both prone to setting the personal standards a little high at times. We plan to have a two bedroom shack (shack yes, but comfortable nonetheless) by November when we go to India for 6 weeks. Plus, we will somehow continue manage our usually busy lives in the meantime. CRAZY, I hear you say. Well yes probably but what the heck....
Anyway it's 84 acres and about 30 of that is cleared (just). We have much work to do in terms of keeping existing land cleared and preserving the forest , and in some cases regenerating it. The trash in the creek isn't a priority as we need shelter etc, however it's on the list of must do's. It's our little slice of heaven and we love it. Stay posted! :)

Hi Simon, Thanks, Pat did a wonderful job on the shed. I'd love to do your social media class but it's my clinic day. But I would love to pick your brains on the workings of a blog... What time does the class start?

Class is 10:30 to 1 & 2-:3:30, the morning session is a presentation about pros/cons of blogging, Facebook & Twitter; the afternoon a workshop driven by particpants where I show how to do stuff ;)

Congrats to you and Pat Fiona. This is a wonderful undertaking and very exciting! Bush regeneration is one of my favourite things to do, it is so rewarding to revitalise land. Good on ya!!
