Spring has sprung!

Hi there,
We had a productive weekend. Mum and I went and purchased a trolley full of trees from a Kmart sale on Saturday. Apples, birch, roses, veges, and some natives. The boys worked on the house as usual, and you can tell by the photo's it's really taking shape. Mum asked me what colour we were going to paint the exterior of the house and I said 'fibro, apparently it's all the rage'. The interior will have to be done of course, as moving the furniture twice brings no joy. The exterior can wait.
All the things I've planted look really healthy! The soil maintains good moisture which is a blessing given we ran out of water on the weekend. We have some in the new tank which is down the hill. I have muscles developing in areas I never knew I had by carrying water up hill. I've started to build a temporary fence around the garden, I won't make it any bigger for now, as I never planned to plant at this stage. My time is now taken up by caring for that. Anyone know where I can get comfrey seeds/plants at this time of year?

We had an offer on the investment property........ Money and lack of it is still an issue. Pat and I are doing all we can to scavenge, collect, recycle.

On Sunday we all sat around the fire and did nothing but take in the beauty and serenety. India's father steve and stepmum Heidi came for the weekend to visit India. We went out on Sat night for dinner and created a little red wine induced chaos for the waiting staff and surrounding customers. Saturday afternoon mum and I came across and beautiful little red wallaby with a joey. Her pouch was so big I thought she was going to bust! Time for that joey to leave the nest I think!
